Jean-Claude Lévêque

 

Mr Lévêque, is a Graduate from HEC Business School, and International Finance from Paris Dauphine University. He joined the Finance department of CIC Bank in 1982, then went to CCF bank in 1985 where he managed the early regulated equity fund in France (FCPR).

From 1986 to 1990, he managed the joint private equity fund of AGF and Crédit Mutuel. In 1990, he joined Innovacom the VC firm of France Telecom, where he raised and managed four consecutive funds. Mr Lévêque was a founder of and instrumental in the success of companies like Business Objects, Decan, Arche Communications, Coheris, Vision Numeric. From 1998 to 2004, he was a partner at Dassault Développement.

He co-founded LC Capital in 2003.

Mr Chauvet, is a Graduate of Ecole polytechnique, Corps des télécommunications, Paris, France (1980-85). He was a Visiting Scientist at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, under advisory of Pr. Raj Reddy and Pr. Michael Rychener (1982,1983). He then joined Amdahl Corp., Marina del Rey, CA, USA, as a Software Engineer (data networks software and protocols, Asynchronous Transfer Mode switches), at the Future Products and Planning division, reporting to Joe Rinde and Pr. Mario Gerla (1984).

In 1985, he co-founded Neuron Data, Palo Alto, CA, USA, and served as Chief Technology Officer. Mr Chauvet designed and authored NEXPERT, the leading PC and workstation-based Artificial Intelligence and expert system tool. He managed Product Marketing and Communication on a worldwide basis, developed marketing strategy, and was spokesman for Neuron Data to its customers, channels OEMs, ISVs and distributors. As Executive Director, he represented Neuron Data in standard bodies and organizations (W3C, OMG...). He also managed the acquisition of Microline Inc., a Java startup, in 1996, and founded and bootstrapped Neuron Data Europe-based subsidiaries in France, UK, and Germany. Neuron Data's successful IPO in 2000, underwritten by Robertson Stephens and Hambrecht and Quist., valued the company at $830m.

Mr Chauvet joined Dassault Développement at inception in 1997. Beyond investing on a pan-European basis, he specifically initiated and managed international investments in USA and Israel.

He co-founded LC Capital in 2003.

Pierre Massabki, Secrétaire général

Mr Massabki joined LC Capital in June 2004 as Secretary General. Previously, he was Financial Controller for Viventures Partners, Vivendi-Universal venture capital arm. M. Massabki has been working in the venture capital industry since 2001.

Mr Massabki began his career in 1997 as Financial Controller for Systra, in Egypt, a leading French Consulting firm for Public Engineering. Upon his return to France in 1999, he held the position of Financial Controller for Canalweb, a streaming Operator based in Paris and then for Chateauonline, an online wine merchant, also based in Paris.

Pierre graduated from the Dauphine University in Paris and is a Certified Evaluated Financial Analyst (SFAF).
